Description
Scope and content : Wall sherd of a clay vessel. The sherd of the wheel-thrown vessel was decorated with an appliqu clay plaque in the shape of a lion's face. The animal is shown in full frontal view, the head surrounded by the mane. Right above it, the remains of a handle can still be seen. The plaque was set between a decoration consisting of incised lines bordered by incised dots. Underneath the lion's head is a row of appliqu clay plaques in the shape of jewels with beaded borders.
