Description
Scope and content : Fragment of a turned wooden bowl, laquered and painted on both sides. The inside of the bowl is decorated with red and purple flowers as well as medium and dark green leaves, all of these set before a light green background. Remains of a round ornamental border in yellow are visible. The outside of the bowl is light green and decorated with dark green floral patterns.

Situated between the Khotan and Keriya rivers, and approximately 50 miles north of Domoko which is on the southern arm of the Silk Road.
Excavation history : Stein excavated here between 19 Dec. 1900 and 3 Jan. 1901 (see Stein 1907: 237-303).
