Rim-sherd of a round vessel made of dark reddish brown clay. The surface is very shiny which suggests the use of a glaze. The decoration consists of two plain moulded bands close to the rim followed by an appliqu palmette and a grape-cluster pendant.

Find site description
Site in the area of Yurung-kash, 15-20 miles ENE of Khotan on the southern arm of the Silk Road. (Stein 1921: map no. 27, A. 4). Stein found the ruins of a temple and Buddhist shrine. Objects included various stucco and relievo fragments that had been partly preserved by a fire.
