Description

Scope and content : The Buddhist texts included an anecdote about the monk, Zhixing; the life of Kumarajiva; 'Longxingsi pishamen tianwang lingyanji.' (Record of mervellous repsonses to prayer on the part of Deva Vaisramana of the Longxing Monastery.' with date corresponding to 873. The verso contained lamentations and records of sacrifices to the dead to the read at services in the temple. Catalogued by Giles 1955: 6659 and Zwalf 1985: 98.
