Description

Scope and content : Fragment of wall-painting. The decoration of this wall-painting imitates a drapery and depicts lozenges in bright red, grey and green before a dark red background. Each of the lozenges is decorated with large dots and a simple white flower consisting of a central dot surrounded by several other dots in the same colour. Also, dotted bands run parallel to the outer border of each lozenge. Two white bands dangle between each of the lozenges. On the right hand side of the fragment, a donkey-headed figure wearing a loin-cloth and a stole is depicted as sitting in a cross-legged position. In the left hand it holds an objects, possibly a flask.
