Description
Scope and content : Fragment of a statue made of red coarse clay, probably unfired. Depicted is a left hand either holding a rectangular incised billet or a pothi (sacred book). All five fingers have broken off and the fractures show thin wooden cores around which the figure was built. The clay surface of the object is covered with a cream-coloured slip on which traces of pigments remain.
