Description
Scope and content : Seated in the centre of this group of the Khan of Lalpura and his followers is a young frontier political officer named Robert Warburton, whose father, a Bengal Army officer stationed in Kabul in the First Afghan War, married a niece of Amir Dost Muhammad in 1840; their son was born at Gandamak in 1842.
