Description
Scope and content : Mould-made clay figure of a standing Buddha. The facial features are very worn and barely discernible, the head with the protuberance is surrounded by a plain halo. The garment with prominent folds is draped around the shoulders and held with the left hand. The right hand has broken away but seems to be raised in the Abhaya mudr_, the gesture of no-fear. Very few white and red pigments of the original decorations are still visible.
