Description
Scope and content : 'No. 43 in I. Vincent's wallet captioned 'Cave 242 (Ghandara)' but contact print has 242 crossed out and corrected to cave 259, with note 'P.111, reversed?'. Cave 259 is correct. Shows Buddha seated with legs pendant in two niches. The closer one is damaged. Part of hands missing but probably right in abhaya mudra. Part of the Thousand Buddhas represented on the wall.
