Description
Scope and content : This is the earliest of the two large Buddha caves at Mogao (the otheris DHMG.130), originally constructed in 695 by a Chan Buddhist master and others during the reign of the Chinese empress Wu Zetian. The statue is 35.5 m high. It has been repaired many times.
