Description
Scope and content : Fragment of a figurine depicting a human head. The hair hair is in a bun but other features are not discernible since the object is very worn.The halo behind the head points to this being a representation of the Buddha or a Bodhisattva. Traces of green and black pigments remain.

Situated between the Khotan and Keriya rivers, and approximately 50 miles north of Domoko which is on the southern arm of the Silk Road.
