Description
Scope and content : Coloured lithograph by R. Carrick after a drawing by James Rattray (1790-1862), Bengal Army. This portrait of the Prime Minister of Kunduz was made at Kabul in September 1841.Plate 9 of James Rattray, The costumes of the various tribes, portraits of ladies of rank, celebrated princes and chiefs, views of the principal fortresses and and cities, and interior of the cities and temples of Afghaunistaun (London: Hering and Remington, 1848). The work contains 30 coloured lithographs.
