Description
Scope and content : Ch. xxii. 0017. Fr. of painting on closely woven linen, representing Avalokiteśvara seated, with attendants. Of interest owing to purely ‘Indian’ style as in Ch. lv. 0024, but in bad condition. Whole of lower half and R. side of painting lost, with L. hand and leg of central fig.; remainder broken; colour almost totally gone and drawing much effaced. Remains of brown silk damask border at top.
