Vincent, 'Buddhist Cave Painting at Tun-Huang' (London, 1959:39) with caption: 'Early sixth century. Buddha standing on a lotus, with flaming vesica, hands in dhamacakra mudra between two Bodhisattvas, and two Arhats with four apsarases flying above, probably representing Sakyamuni on the Vulture Peak preaching the Lotus sutra.'
