Description
Scope and content : Despatch dated 1 January 1875, addressed to the Marquess of Salisbury, Secretary of State for India, containing printed copies of letters relating to affairs in Afghanistan. Includes copies of Kabul Diaries from 4-17 December 1874; telegram relating to the preparations for the defence of Herat, being made under orders received from Yaqub Khan; translation of two letters from the Agent at Kabul to the Commissioner of the Peshawar Division relating to internal affairs, in particular the activities of Yaqub Khan.
