Depicted are two waterskins bound together with a broad band that has two rope-like borders and in the centre a pattern that looks like camel hoof imprints. Two incised lines around each neck show where the skins are tied. Traces of red pigments are visible.

Find site description
Site in the area of Yurung-kash, 15-20 miles ENE of Khotan on the southern arm of the Silk Road. (Stein 1921: map no. 27, A. 4). Stein found the ruins of a temple and Buddhist shrine. Objects included various stucco and relievo fragments that had been partly preserved by a fire.
Excavation history : Stein excavated here between 18 Sept. and 22 Sept. 1906 (see Stein 1921: 133-153).
