Description

Scope and content : Fragment of wall-painting. 2/3 of the remaining fragment have a decoration that imitates a drapery and depicts lozenges in bright red, grey and green before a dark red background. Each of the lozenges is decorated with large dots and a simple white flower consisting of a central dot surrounded by several other dots in the same colour. Also, dotted bands run parallel to the outer border of each lozenge. Two white bands dangle between each of the lozenges. The other part of the fragment shows trumpet-shaped flowers in red and bright green on a dark red background. Between both decorations is a white band on which the remains of a Brahmi inscription are visible.
