Description

Scope and content : Vajracchedika-prajnaparamita-sutra (T.235) in Chinese: incomplete. Sogdian text on verso contains an obscure remark about the man pictured, who is referred to as Tamar Qus. Might be identified as a ruler with this name, author of a Sogdian letter, Or.8212/89, which has been dated to c.885. Sims-Williams, Nicholas, 'The Sogdian Fragments of the British Library'.
